Privacy Policy

FreeiPDF (freeipdf.com) provides free online PDF tools. We built this service around a simple principle: your documents are yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we handle and — more importantly — what we never touch.

Every tool on FreeiPDF — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing and all the rest — runs entirely inside your own web browser using standard client-side technology.

When you open a file with one of our tools, the file is read directly by your browser and processed on your device. It is never uploaded to our servers, never stored, never logged and never seen by us or any third party. When you close the page, the data is gone. This is why our tools are safe to use with contracts, ID documents, financial statements and other confidential material.

We do not require and do not collect: your files or their contents, accounts or registrations, names, email addresses (unless you write to us), payment information, or any document-related metadata.

When you voluntarily use the contact form, your name, email address and message are transmitted to Web3Forms — the third-party service that delivers the message to our inbox. This information is used solely to read and reply to you, is never added to a mailing list and is never shared with advertisers.

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages and the pages you request. This data is used solely to keep the service secure, stable and fast, and is not used to build personal profiles.

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser; local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a website remember small preferences on your own device. FreeiPDF keeps its footprint minimal and uses only strictly necessary, first-party local storage:

• Your light/dark theme preference;
• Your favorite and recently used tools (shown on the home page and in search);
• Your cookie consent choice, so we do not ask you again on every visit.

This data lives only in your browser — it is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and clearing your browser data for this site removes it instantly. We do not use cookies or local storage to track you across other websites.

When you first visit, a small consent banner lets you choose between “Accept all” and “Essential only”. You can change or re-make that choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page — withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it.

This website displays advertising to keep the service free. We may use Google AdSense and other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Visitors in regions that legally require consent for this — such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — will be asked for their choice through our consent banner before any non-essential advertising cookies are used, in line with Google’s EU user consent policy.

Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick/DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not remove access to any FreeiPDF tool.

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which tools are popular and how the site performs overall (for example: page views, country level location, device type). Analytics data is statistical and is not linked to your identity.

Because files are processed locally, we hold no document data to retain or secure in the first place. The only data that may persist is standard server log information described in section 4, kept for a short period for security and abuse prevention.

FreeiPDF is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the service requires no signup and processes no personal data, children can safely use the tools under normal parental supervision.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete or restrict its processing. Because we process documents on your device and collect almost nothing, most requests resolve automatically by simply closing the browser tab. We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service or the law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
